Bee Still

Category: Nature

Photo and caption by Andrew Joyce

Perched above St. Mary's Lake, a spring flower surrenders it's nectar to a hurried bee just before a storm thunders across the Rockies in the distance. The shot was perfectly lit between the broken clouds above the lake. It was as if the bee knew just where to pose in order to display his delicate wings in contrast to the imposing mountains behind them.

Location: St. Mary's Lake, Glacier National Park
