I shot this picture in a warehouse during a reportage inside the castle of Pavia, in northern Italy, where a huge and precious natural history collection had been waiting for a better accomodation for over 50 years. I was attracted by the position of the animals, all facing the window, like prisoners looking for the world and a "new life".
