Great Blue Heron Pair

Category: Nature

“It was a cool, overcast November morning when I made a visit to my local wetlands. Great Blue Herons were starting to build nests and I noticed one pair that was particularly active. The male was flying off and returning with sticks he had collected. He landed softly on the nest and the female placed her head on his wing, seeming to gaze up at her mate with thankful adoration.”
