Sitting by the window, my stories long forgotten . . .

I have a passionate interest in the history of the American West and Bodie was legendary. Last week I made my first visit to this ghost town, just ahead of the first seasonal storm, and the clouds were spectacular. I found the reflections in the windows compelling. We can read the stories, articles and diaries that have been preserved, but only wonder about the thoughts of someone who sat at this window the day before the first storm so many years ago.

Location: Bodie State Historic Park, California, USA
