Atlantic puffin

Photo and caption by Hálfdán H. Helgason
A close up of an Atlantic puffin (Fratercula arctica) on the deserted Bearisland (Bjørnøya) the southern most island of the Svalbard archipelago. There is very litle human activity on the island except for research so most birds and animals there are easy to approach.
Location: Bjørnøya, (Bearisland), Svalbard, Norway
