the quiet desert resounds with noises: children splash joyously on a long ago Saturday night, parents discuss the challenges of the past and the uncertainty of the future, wind howls outside the seemingly sturdy rock home... the mines close, everyone escapes, the encroaching desert reclaims her own; rocks crumble as the walls slide into oblivion, only the memories stored in the old bathtub remain...Terlingua Texas at 115 degrees. truly an American ghost town....
