my son, my grandson and a frog
Photo and caption by Claire Sheridan
In late September my son and 3 year old grandson went on a hike in the Washington DC/ Northern Virginia area. We were the only people hiking in the National Park that day. There were lots of small frogs and my grandson, Tucker, wanted to hold one. About 5 slipped through my son's hands but he was able to hold one little one long enough for Tuck to touch him. In this photo there are 3 sets of "hands" including the frog's webbed one. We let him slide back into the brook after that. I didn't notice the detail until I got my photos developed.
