On a clear October day, this Double-Crested Cormorant, pulled back his wings and abruptly “took off” from Strait's Pond, a brackish body of water close to Black Rock Beach. Strait’s Pond separates the towns of Hull and Cohasset, MA. The MA Watershed Initiative (MWI),a collaborative effort between state and federal environmental agencies, municipal agencies, citizens, non-profit groups, businesses and industries, conducted a clean up effort. Since this time, wildlife has returned to the pond and we can now see mute swans, Great Egrets, owls and Double Crested Cormorants.
Location: Strait's Pond, Cohasset, Massachusetts
