Category: Nature

Dozens of Malachite cocoons dangled precariously but securely from a stick in an large enclosure. Several of the butterflies slowly emerged over the course of a couple of hours. They unfoled their wings, dried off and got settled into their new forms. This image shows a couple of them close together, getting ready to spread thir wings ad fly off.
