The Scarlet-Chested parrot is a nomadic and perhaps scarce resident of the Australian Outback. Sometimes a pair wanders closer to the population centers. In October 2011 a pair was resident at Gluepot Reserve a few hundred kilometers from Adelaide in South Australia. Here the photogenic male is returning to a nest cavity occupied by a female.
