During Easter in Guatemala, the cobblestone streets of Antigua become a canvas for religious art. In many of the works, coloured sawdust is purposfully scattered, as seen here, to fashion a 'carpet' of striking colour and design. These carpets are only fully appreciated when sacrificed on Easter Sunday to the crowds of worshipers who march over them in ceremonious procession.
