The daily Commute in Washington DC, as in other large cities, could be considered a right of passage. The road warriors that commute in to Washington DC are at least lucky enough to be greeted by picturesque memorials; along with the glowing lights of the cars that are ahead and behind. In the case of this photo, a 30 second exposure taken from the round-about on the Memorial Bridge along the western shore of the Potomac River; the Lincoln Memorial stands stark, greeting drivers as they cross the river heading away from Arlington Cemetery.

Location: Washington DC, United States of America, 29 March 2012
