The Tidal Basin in Washington DC is a wonderful location to escape the hustle and bustle of the city; without leaving the city. This photo was taken at a time when not many people choose to relax at the Tidal Basin; about 35 minutes prior to sunrise on a chili January morning. But those that are willing to brave the cold air are occasionally treated to a wonderful display of natural beauty among the National Monuments of the United States.
