"Forging the Stars"

This photograph, entitled "Forging the Stars", is a single-exposure light-painted photograph that I created over the course of 1,836 seconds. The photograph is straight from the camera, and involved no computer manipulation. It was shot in the dark of night, and my black attire allowed me to work invisibly while I used my handmade light tool to light-paint the faux flame effects by hand.
Location: Schulze Brick Kiln, Phelps Park, Decorah, Iowa.
