Light of Life

Sunbeams coming through the huge crowns of Redwood forests at Redwood National Park, California. These trees, with an average measured height of more than 300 feet, are the tallest and one of the most massive tree species on Earth. Their growing benefits from the warm and humid weather of northern California sea coast. Huge tree crowns blocked most of the sunlight and there is very little that can reach the ground. At the bottom layer of the forest, younger redwoods have to struggle for such low-light environment in order to survive. For them, the light of life is precious.
