Entangled Red-tailed Hawks

A pair of red-tailed hawks plummeted from the sky and struck the ground close to the road. They were entangled for many minutes and oblivious to the people that gathered to watch the action. One last hop freed a talon out of the other’s thigh allowing them to both quickly take flight again.
Location: Lamar Valley, Yellowstone National Park
