This Galapagos giant tortoise was found grazing on the highlands of Santa Cruz island. With a carapace size of over 1m, it is estimated to be over a hundred years old. These gentle giants have been inhabiting the Galapagos for millions of years and are a perfect living example of islands gigantism.
