The Whitewater Preserve is located a few miles to the north of Palm Springs, California. The Whitewater River runs through the Whitewater Canyon, so if winter has delivered snow onto the surrounding mountains, the Canyon will be wet in the spring, supporting a good desert spring wildflower experience.
