An American kestrel was catching insects over a grass field for dinner. Before sunset a red tail hawk entered the field. The kestrel is much smaller than the hawk, but the kestrel fearlessly drove the hawk away. this photo captured the moment when the kestrel hit the hawk from above and almost folded hawk's left wing.
