A child sees beauty in the little things. During my trip to Ahmedabad, I realized that the essence of slums is wonder and focus. We should re-examine our perception and realize that they need not be torn down and relocated but merely accommodated by clean water and sanitation. There is incredible drive and joy already in existence, and the ordinary is not taken for granted.
