Christ's open arms serve not only as a warming embrace for the city of Rio, but they appear here as if to be wielding the power of nature by shepherding the lingering storm clouds. It is in this instant that this uniquely devine sight is rewarded to the lucky few who braved the preceeding downpour, hoping to catch a glimpse of Cristo Redentor.
