The Alpine Soldiers of Kashmir

While pushing up an alpine ascent of Stok Kangri (6123m), in Eastern Jammu and Kashmir, India, I ran into these ruthless rock-jockeys. These bands of hardened warriors spend the majority of their lives hauling supplies up and down and up the alpine slopes of our planet, servicing locals and tourists alike. Sprawled out, resting on the rocks, this company of mules found me to be quite the curious sight.
