This picture was taken on a bull jumping ceremony from the Hammer tribe ate the Omo Valley, south of Ethiopia. This ceremony is considered to be their marriage. Before the fiance start jumping the bull, Hammer women are wiped to show their love for their men and to be more respected on the tribe. The more they have the scars on their back, more respected they are. A captured the exact moment when a hammer woman is dancing in front of the man to get wiped. The look on her eyes shows her fear together with the pain mixed with love.
