I have very few shots of Tunnels Beach and so I set out to capture sunrise over a 3 day period; timed for low tide. Of course I woke up to rain, as is typical on Kauai, but this was a bit more consistent for July. Heading out anyway I got to my location and waited...and waited. Sunrise came without any real fanfare but I knew it was rainbow conditions if the clouds broke. After standing in the on and off rain for over an hour the sky brightened and this brilliant rainbow arched across the landscape. Makes standing in the rain all worth while!
