Ullswater & St. Sunday Crag

Photo and caption by joe Stockdale

I took this photo when I was hiking up Gorbarrow fell on the side of Ullswater on an early morning walk in the Lake District National Park. The Crepuscular rays burst though the snow filled skies and onto the rustic Autumn leaves creating this striking texture. It pays to take a photo without hesitation as soon as you see something that excites you. While I was taking this photo a skulking Jackdaw took off with my glossy yellow lens cleaning cloth. He must of liked the reflected golden colors as much as I did, nature has so many unpredictable odd ways of really powering your inspiration.

Location: Ullswater, Lake District National Park, England, United Kingdom, Europe
