No chance for the Northern Lights

I have wanted to see the aurora borealis since I was little. The forecast didn't look good and called for clouds and snow. They said we had no chance to see them that week but we kept hoping we would. Halfway thru our trip we woke up to clear skies and saw a little ribbon of light. That night we were able to see the lights for over an hour. This was one of the shots I took sitting in the middle of the road with my camera balanced on a rock.
