Mongolian couple caught in snowstorm on motorcycle

Motorcycles are increasingly replacing the horse as the mode of transportation for the Mongolian people. There are few roads, but the Mongolian people have a keen sense of direction, using the forests, mountains and rivers as their guides. Quite often you will see three on a motorcycle: the father as driver, the mother holding on at the back, and the baby or small child sandwiched in the middle. We were on our way back to Ulaan-Uul after visiting the Dukha reindeer herders near the Siberian border when we got caught in a snowstorm along with this couple on the motorcycle.
