This is a view of the Fountain of Neptune (by Bartolomeo Ammannati), in Florence, Italy's Piazza della Signoria, with one of the walls of Palazzo Vecchio as a backdrop. While the figures on the fountain all resolutely gaze in the opposite direction, a pigeon curiously stares directly at me.
