Six weeks ago, I set out for the long trek home-early, early. I was a little wistful after dropping my son off at college. I turned the corner from my hotel and was met with this scene where the gold from the trees reflected in the water in a most surreal and celestial glow - an unexpected and cheery cure for empty-nest blues.
