Water pond in this part of the world is a rarity. Rains are few and far between. When it rains small collections occur in some parts of this dry arid sun baked region. When it does happen, it is a festive season for the birds and also for the people thronging to see the pond! The birds come here through the day, spend the time walking, floating, swimming, flying around the water hole. And also they get enough to eat. Birds make merry while it lasts, because it does not last long!
