Between traditions and a new world

I´ve been living in Doha for over a year and it has been always impressive the speed this city is being created. Locals usually express their feelings about how their wealth and westernisation might be destroying their traditions little by little. I believe this picture describes this feeling, in it we can see a Qatari looking to the traditional Arab boats "Dhows" in a local contest while in the back we have the contrast of the super luxurious hotels this city is getting used to.

Location: Katara Beach
