Goliath Heron at Aswan, Egypt

On July 20th, 2012, we were on a boat trip around the cataracts on the River Nile at Aswan, Egypt, when we disturbed this Goliath Heron. It settled down very quickly in the taller reeds - and I was very pleased to get this action photograph of such a magnificent creature, with just a single click of my camera :-).
