A Mountain Home

The Chestnut Mountain home of John Wesley and Arminta (Cales)Bragg where they reared seven children and entertained numerous grandchildren and friends over the years. Their Appalachain mountains log home is eerily quiet now, the laughter of children has ceased. In Spring the dafidils still bloom by the rock walkway, leading up to a porch where never again will the family gather to hear tales of years gone by. Sleep in peace, Old House! You have served well, nay, you have served exceedingly well!

Location: Chestnut Mountain - Summers County, West Virginia
