Curious Reef Shark

Category: Nature

Photo and caption by Ana Guerra

A very curious female Grey reef shark (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos) that came up to us during a fore reef survey dive. These sharks are a lot bolder than the other species of reef sharks in the area and commonly swim right up to divers.

Location: Palmyra Atoll National Wildlife Refuge, Central Pacific, USA
