Butterscotch

Butterscotch came out of hibernation in late April. He was hanging out next door in a partially collapsed house. He is a black bear but due to his coloring he was considered by the local Native Americans to be a "spirit bear". Unfortunately by June he was killed by a neighbor. I was lucky to capture so many photos of this beautiful creature before he was considered a nuisance to someone.
