When I had visited the Toronto Zoo a year ago, I had high expectations for their Polar Bear exhibit. I was not disappointed. The Polar Bears were active and seemed very content. For the first time in my many years attending zoos, I finally saw a Polar Bear come right up to the glass in the "underwater" section of the exhibit. It was the briefest moment, but it felt surreal. I felt as though the Polar Bear was just as curious about us as we were about it... The experience was strangely comforting.
