Woodpecker Divebombs Stellar Jay

These Acorn woodpeckers in Santa Clarita, California seem to have an ongoing war with the jays. I was taking shots of the Stellar Jays when this woodpecker comes in for a crash landing on a poor jay. The woodpecker had his wings in for maximum velocity and unfortunately I wasn't able to record the impact. Still fun to watch though
