This Mountain Goat was resting on top of a cottage-sized boulder at "Stone City", located on the 8500' high ridge above Cathedral Lakes in south-central British Columbia. I took a series of photographs as he came off his lookout to check us out. We later learned that the goats are attracted to the (presumably) salty-tasting liquid that tired hikers sometimes deposit on the ridge.
