Last Water

I was observing a group of Lion cubs when I was distracted by a lone Giraffe drinking from a small water hole on the edge of the Pan. The starkness, minimalistic nature of the setting, as well as the position and shape of the Giraffe gave me a shot I was most pleased with. Etosha National Park is an amazing, unique part of the world. Towards the end of the dry season, large numbers of animals congregate at the few remaining water holes. Viewing can be as simple as sitting by a water hole and seeing what passes by for a drink.

Location: Etosha National Park, Namibia
