The picture was taken in the former compound of Beijing Capital Steel Factory, known as the Shougang Group. As one of the earliest state-owned enterprises, it used to be a dream workplace for many people; working there meant having an "iron rice bowl," insurance, food, and benefits from youth to old age. Due to the 2008 Olympic Games it was decided the factory should move out of Beijing to help reduce air pollution in the capital. More than 20,000 employees have been reassigned to different locations. The current site will be developed to adapt a wide range of industries, including tourism.

Location: Shijingshan District, Beijing, China.
