Some of the worst burned areas in the Gila Wilderness were around this location. The Whitewater-Baldy Complex Fire was the biggest fire in New Mexico History burning almost 300,000 acres! I spent two months and over 300 miles photographing in the Gila Wilderness after the fire. Very sobering!
