Uros Island

The Uros are pre-Incan people who live on Lake Titicaca. They make their own islands and boats made of reeds, called Uros islands, where they live. Each island consists a number of families with a house each and a communal kitchen. It lasts for about 10 years. This particular island has kids less than three years old because four years ago a fire broke out while the adults went to the city and only one child survived.
Location: Uros Island, Lake Titicaca, Puno, Peru
