Fleeting Perpetuity

An elderly man hears the tingling sound of a dropped coin or the crisp fold of a paper bill being dropped into his tin can and fumbles around using what's left of his knobbed wrist. Even without seeing light anymore, he seems infinitely contented and blessed for whatever unknown amount he just received. As this moment passes, he realizes today is just beginning for he needed more in able to sustain himself. With that, he goes back to his solemn self, waiting , hearing what more this day may bring.
