A Rolling Stone

This nature made stone sphere is located at a coast in Ito about 100km from Tokyo. It’s not easy to find this sphere in the rocky coast. But if people can approach it, they might hear heavy dull thuds with the sounds of the sea weaves. The thuds are made by collisions of the sphere and the rocks around it. Using waves, Nature have cleverly been manipulated the collisions for thousands years or tens thousand years. The stone is already almost perfect sphere. But Nature doesn’t stop the polish day after day, and year after year….

Location: Ito, Shizuoka, Japan
