Takes one back to the 9th century. A place for Buddhist pilgrimage that had long been abandoned and hidden under volcanic rock and jungle growth. A Buddha sits in each Stupa. The pyramid walls are lined with carved reliefs depicting phases and episodes of the Buddha's life. Some have called the temple, a prayer in stone. This photo takes me right back there. February 2012
