The wildebeest had been bailed up by African Wild Dogs in the water. Initially he charged them, seemingly trying to reach safety with the zebra herd behind the dogs. Initially the situation seemed very serious, the wildebeest would not allow the dogs behind it or venture too far from the water. Over the next 45 minutes it became apparent that the dogs were not serious in the hunt and the wildebeest began to "play" with them; charging out, letting them chase him, chasing them, while the Wild Dog puppies watched. Finally the wildebeest crossed the water and trotted off and the dogs remained!
