My wife and I visited the Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia for an extended weekend to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. On a crisp, cool November morning, we decided to learn about the art of Falconry. Tex was the hawk we had the opportunity with which to work. She followed us as we strolled through the woods always watchful for her next meal. This picture was taken as she prepared to navigate toward a small animal that only her eyes could see.
