This is Sidi Mohamed, the cook for my trek through the Hoggars in Southern Algeria. He was quick with a fire and a good knife; a beast with lamb, vegetables, and bread; and he could make a mean glass of tea. But atop this camel he was nothing shy of desert royalty.
