The untouched, overwhelming splendour of the Wadi Rum Desert with its unique, rocky landscape, seen here glowing as if on fire as the sun drops low in the sky. A place which for me which evoked feelings of wonder and loneliness whilst taking my breath away with its beauty and magnificence. I immediately understood why this place had such a powerful impact on T E Lawrence and why it was such a source of inspiration for his writing. Situated in southern Jordan, east of Aqaba, the Wadi Rum Desert, along with many other sites in Jordan, is a traveller and photographer's paradise.
