Badami had been the capital of Chalukyas from 6th to 8th century AD. The town is still has the remains of Chalukyas through cave temples and forts. This picture depicts the contrast of how Badami was and is today. This picture was taken high up from the fort, in the foreground is a temple build by Chalukyas and the background the new concrete jungles.
